Embody Empower

EmbodyEmpower

I have always had a keen interest in health and wellness but it wasn’t until just after I had my first baby boy that I discovered my love of Pilates and desire to pursue it as a career.

I secured the name EmbodyEmpower back in 2016 after I’d become a qualified Pilates instructor. Not exactly sure where I wanted to take it, I knew I wanted to introduce Pilates to women who had not yet discovered it and its amazing benefits. I wanted to empower women, particularly new mums and inspire them through the new amazing journey of motherhood. The ups and the downs which are endless. Pilates helped me so much with my C-section recovery, regaining strength, both physically and mentally, and boy was it addictive. Aside from teaching Pilates, this journey of motherhood opened me up to another world which I wanted to share. And so EmbodyEmpower began.

However, this little thing we call “motherhood” became more time consuming as I fell pregnant with my little number 2. Being “mum” has completely taken over my life (which I love) however. It has been my 24/7 commitment for the last few years and so my venture of EmbodyEmpower has taken a back seat. But I’m so excited to finally be embarking on this venture in a greater capacity.

I hope that my blog is a place for other mums, women and even dads to find a little inspiration, encouragement, helpful hints and information based on my experiences as a mum, wife to Bondi Rescue Lifeguard Harries, Pilates instructor, believer in kindness, balance and living a healthy lifestyle.

For now though, my littlest love Leo, is up and ready to party! 5:00am on a Monday – woohoo! If I don’t post this now, I could be another 3 years!

I look forward to sharing this journey and seeing EmbodyEmpower evolve… thank you for reading.
